【摘要】:ThisPubliclyAvailableSpecificationspecifiestheminimumsafetyrequirementsforallroofloadcarriersintendedformountingonorabovetheroofsofpassengercarsandlightcommercialvehicleswithamaximumauthorizedtotalmassupto3,5t(ISOM08)asdefinedinISO1176.Itappliesto:a)mechanicallyattachedgeneraluseroofbarssuitableforcarryingaload,b)accessoriesandtheirattachmentstoroofbarsforspecialpurposeapplications,c)mechanicallyattachedspecificpurposeroofdevicessuitableforcarryingadefinedload,andd)magneticfixingdevicessuitableforcarryingadefinedload.ThisPubliclyAvailableSpecificationestablishestechnicalspecificationsandtestmethodswhichoffertheuseroftheroofloadcarriers,otherroadusersandpedestriansaminimumlevelofsafetywhenthesefixingdevicesarebeingusedinaccordancewiththemanufacturer’sinstructions.Moreover,therequirementsofISO/PAS11154completetheprovisionsofDirective74/483EECandECER26concerningtheseproducts.Foradditionaldevicesintendedforexampletolimitthemovementoftheload,requirementsandtestmethodsarenotdefinedinthisPubliclyAvailableSpecification.Ifneeded,bothmanufacturerandlaboratorieswillworkoutadditionaltest(s)orchoosethemostappropriatetest(s)describedinthisPubliclyAvailableSpecification.
